In Church Slavonic, a kovcheg is an ark: the vessel that carried life through the flood, the reliquary that guards what is holy, the raised bed of an icon board that shelters the image.
We take the name as our charge. Every screen, case, and stand we build is made to hold holy things — and to stand for generations in the place where the faithful pray. The work is exact where it must be and hand-worked where it should be, and it is always offered to the Church first.

A three-tier {{ speciesLower }} iconostasis designed for a parish far to the north — its rounded arches and broad horizontal rhythm drawn to echo the mission architecture of its setting while keeping the liturgical hierarchy of the Russian tradition. We begin by hand, developing the elevation and liturgical arrangement with your priest and parish, then clean it into a presentation rendering and shop drawings.
Precision Geometry
CNC-ready modeling prepares repeated architectural components, joinery, and alignment features — precision that serves the carving rather than replacing it.
Carving & Finishing
Traditional hand carving brings the relief and rhythm; we assemble, fit, and sand in the shop and finish clear — no stain, paint, or gilding, so the grain stays honest.
Delivery & Installation
Built in modules for transport, delivered and set on site, aligned and anchored, with closeout notes for the long care of the wood.

We work most often in American black walnut and cherry, and just as readily in white oak, hard maple, ash, and sapele. Every commission is built in the species you choose — and finished the way you prefer, whether clear to let the grain speak, stained to a tone that suits your church, or gilded where the tradition calls for it. If you have a wood or a color in mind, we will match it.
